The Head Start program makes a significant difference in the lives of children and families within our community. With its comprehensive approach to early childhood education, Head Start goes beyond traditional preschool programs. But our work does not stop there. The Head Start program supports the use of individualized professional development plans to ensure that our staff are receiving the training and professional growth needed to be successful in their roles within our agency and beyond.

The Head Start Program Standards require the leadership of our agency to implement a systematic approach to training and development. Head Start, Inc. strives to collaborate with our employees to create professional development plans that are regularly evaluated. Our employees share the responsibility of investing in their own professional development by contributing to this planning, by working with their supervisors to build a plan that outlines their career goals and the steps necessary to get them there.
